The first time I saw a Dandie in the flesh and blood was at Madison Square Garden in New York during the Westminster Dog Show. It was definitely a case of love at first sight but I still didn't know just how much that encounter was destined to change my life, our lives.

In fact it was a watershed; time from then on can be divided into BD, Before Dandies and AD, After Dandies. The following pages are the story of our love affair with the breed, how it developed and how it grew to encompass a whole world.
